Forensic Art

  Forensic Art is the artistic technique used in the identification, apprehension or conviction of a wanted person. A visual aid used in the identification of unknown deceased person. In addition, forensic art can be admissible in a court of law during expert testimony.

Composite Art (Police Composite Sketch )

  Police Sketching is the technique of creating a drawing from individually described parts into a single graphic image. It is intended to be a likeness or similarity of a victim’s or witness’ perception of a suspect at the time of the crime. (Gallery 1)

Post Mortem Reconstruction ( 2-D and 3-D Facial Reconstruction )

  This consists in the rebuilding of facial features of unidentified, badly decomposed or human skeletal remains. These are created 2D by sketch or 3D with clay. Post-mortem drawings are the facial drawings created by viewing photographs or the remains themselves of an unknown deceased person and are used for identification. In these cases the bodies are relatively intact and not as decomposed. (Gallery 2)

Image Modification (Age Progression, Age Regression )

    This is the alteration and/or enhancement of a photograph or video image for the purpose of updating, clarifying or identifying a wanted subject. Age progression (Aging) and regressions are image modifications that are created by traditional drawing techniques, 3D clay or by digital means, with the aid of a computer. (Gallery 3)
